“Pushkin Art Gallery” opened its doors to connoisseurs of Russian art in 2007 and its collection has been expanded since then. We have established strong and productive relations with talented painters and sculptors and managed to form a unique collection. The canvases of famous Petersburg artists of XX-XXI centuries are the main decoration of the gallery.
Nowadays, Pushkin Art Gallery is one of the most famous galleries in St. Petersburg. Over 80 thousand people visit this place every year.
Each canvas reflects the artist’s personal style, his unique pictorial language. We strive to show our guests how rich and varied the artistic life of the “Venice of North” is today. We exhibit pictures of large and small dimensions, which differ in technique and style of painting. Some are created with thick, pastry brushstrokes, while the others remind you translucent shade of watercolor.
In addition to the academic paintings by Alexei Rychkov and Anatoly Chernykh, the collection includes impressionistic paintings by Irina Alexandrina, Sergey Lyakhovich and Kirill Malkov, semi-absract works by Alexander Volkov, microrealistic works by Dmitry Yakovin, post modernist canvases by Andrei Smirnov and Armen Gasparyan.
We have masterpieces by Vyacheslav Mikhailov, Pavel Shevchenko, Sergey Bakin, Oleg Kulikov, the most known modern Russian artists, as well as works by young artists who are just starting their creative path: Maria Lihaya, Adil Aliyev, Lev Pauls, Alexandra Suleymanova.
The artists respect the traditions of their predecessors and also introduce their own techniques and individual traits.
